HOW CAN YOU HAVE A PARTY WITHOUT PLAYING GAMES? HERE IS  A LIST OF GAMES TO MAKE YOUR HALLOWEEN PARTY THE BEST ONE YET!

CAULDRON TOSS-Instead of playing cornhole the traditional way, swap out the regular boards for large plastic cauldrons and trade in the plain bean bags for halloween themed bean bags. The rules of the game still apply.

COSTUME CONTEST- When people arrive, give them scorecards so that throughout the night, they can keep track of whose costumes they like the best in different categories. Before everyone goes home, collect all the votes and give out prizes for the winners. Great categories include scariest costume, most creative costume, best couples costume, and so much more.

GUESS THE VILLIAN-When your guests arrive at the party, attach the name of a movie villain onto their backs so they can’t see it. They can then ask other guests yes/no questions to try to guess which villain they are, and they can have conversations with other guests to help them figure out theirs. This game is easy to put together, inexpensive, and a great way to get people talking to each other.

HORROR MOVIE TRIVIA- Place a stack of cards with horror movie trivia questions on the drinks table at the party, and ask guests to take turns picking a card and answering the question on the card. If they answer correctly, they get to choose a beverage of their choice. If they answer incorrectly, however, they have to take a shot of a mystery drink of your choosing.

MAGIC POTIONS-Pass around trays of “magic potions” for guests to enjoy (this can be an assortment of shots, cocktails, and mocktails) and attach a tag to each potion. After drinking each potion, your guests have to do what the tag says. You can include things like questions  or even dares.

SCARY PHOTO BOOTH-  Photo booths are always a lot of fun. Set up a themed Halloween photo booth—think moody lighting, spider webs, and creepy props—and have your guests come and pose in their costumes. You can use a polaroid camera so guests have an instant memento they can take home to remember the best Halloween party ever.

SCARY TREASURE HUNT-Put your guests into teams of 3 or 4 and give them each a clue that will help get them closer to a treasure that you’ve hidden. Each clue should lead to the next, and have a Halloween-themed puzzle or riddle that needs to be solved.

TRICK OR TREAT-Set up bowls/trays of miniature beverage bottles (you could also do this with jell-o shots or glasses). Guests can pick one item from each of the different bowls/trays to enjoy, but they won’t know until they taste it whether it’s a trick (fruit juice) or a treat (alcohol).
